Lindo Versus Musa: A Political Rivalry for the History Books

The political rivalry between Dean Lindo and Said Musa is one for the history books.  Coming from a student of the former and a close friend of the latter, Mesopotamia Area Representative Michael Finnegan says that Lindo is virtually unrivaled as a political mastermind.  The only other politician who comes closest to him in astuteness is Fort George Area Representative and two-time prime minister Said Musa.  Finnegan says that the competitiveness between the two titans was great for the development of party politics in the country.

“In my political life, I think they were the greatest.  I noh care weh nobody seh bout Said Musa, and this interview is not about Said Musa, this interview is about Dean Lindo.  But the closest thing to Dean Lindo, as far as I am concerned, is Said Musa.  Who noh like it, noh like it, but I’ve got to be truthful and you know I am old now, I am retiring.  I could talk from mi heart, I could mek everybody know and di nation know how I feel about things and that rivalry was a great rivalry because it was a rivalry between two political giants.”
