Norman Castillo alleges self-defense in fight with Alfonso Noble

A video of a fight between two men went viral on Facebook over the weekend. One of the men in the fight is The Guardian’s Editor and host of ‘Fus Ting Da Mawnin,’ Alfonso Noble. The other man, not as known as Noble, is Norman Castillo. He stopped by our studios to say that the video captured by a passerby shows only a portion of what happened. Castillo alleges that he was inside the Long Island Night Club when he approached by Noble and two other men and they got into a quarrel with him. He alleges that Noble hit him with a bottle in his forehead and then he acted in self-defense – which was captured on video. He says it was all politically motivated. Here’s how Castillo explained his side of the story and why he wants to set the record straight via the media.

We reached out to Noble, who didn’t give an interview, but says that the surveillance cameras of the club tell another story which would support his account. He denies hitting Castillo and says that it was Castillo and another man who were holding pieces of a broken bottle and attempted to aggress him. Noble also says he tried to run away from the altercation, but when he defended himself, they both fell and Castillo suffered scrapes.
