A Vehicle is Impounded Following Weekend Double Murder in Orange Walk

Junior Triminio

Junior Triminio was laid to rest on Wednesday in his hometown of Orange Walk.  His memorial service and funeral procession was attended by family and friends, including close associates who are also members of the Back-a-Town Crips, a local street gang which Triminio headed.  Since his execution, police have been on high alert in anticipation of a retaliatory attack.  They have also been investigating the weekend double homicides that claimed Triminio’s life, as well as that of nineteen-year-old Christopher Calderon.  While there has been no arrest, police have been able to locate the vehicle used in the deadly incident.

“There is no update; however, we are following several significant leads.  I believe we do have a vehicle impounded so far and we have senior investigators following up on this matter at this time.”

Reporter

“Sir, this vehicle is from the Orange Walk area?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, it is from Belize City and it’s a rental vehicle.”

Reporter

“Is any of the people that you are looking for from Belize City?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No.”

Reporter

“In your investigation, were you able to find out whether or not the deceased Mr. Triminio sponsored any of the teams that were playing?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, not that we know about.”

Reporter

“So, being that you have traced down this vehicle, do you foresee that you are going to make an arrest soon?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, well we are… That is a part of the lead that we are following and as a result, we have put additional investigators on the case, being senior investigators.”
