Village Chairman Trying to Mediate Lemonal Dispute

In speaking with News Five on Thursday, the village chairman emphasized a need for residents to follow the procedures that have been set out for land acquisition.  The feud, he says, has pitted members of the Banner and Anthony families against each other.  Despite the injuries he received in a traffic mishap recently, he has been forced to come out of bed rest to mediate the dispute.

“If everybody could go, geh dehn papers fu dehn land, show dat dehn mi purchase the land or apply fi di land and mek dis madness stop because dis madness di lead too far.  And to be di chairman of Lemonal ih hurt me fu sih, you know, da one big family live ya.  I da di stranger ya and I di live mongst Banner and Anthony.  So if dis madness could stop I woulda want ih stop so I woulda wahn dehn really go and mek di paperwork show that dis land da fu dis one or da land da fu da one.  If you know yo noh have no papers fi yo land, try apply if nobody noh own it yet or if you know yoh noh have papers just back off and mek di process ah whatever gwein on gwein on, yoh undastand, because then di hurt me.  Right now I sick, I deh eena my bed, I just ketch eena wahn accident and I haftu deh out ya pan di media fu sih how best I could help di situation noh.”
