San Diego Police Name Fugitive Raymond McLeod in Murder; Reward Offered

Raymond Mcleod

There is an international search for a U.S. marine believed to have spent time in southern Belize or may still be here.  Earlier today, the San Diego Police announced it is offering an eleven thousand U.S. dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of a thirty-four-year-old veteran from Arizona suspected of murdering his girlfriend two years ago while visiting friends in San Diego. He is Raymond “RJ” McLeod, who was spotted in Belize and may now be moving in Mexico. McLeod is believed to have taken the life of Krystal Mitchell on June tenth, 2016, inside a friend’s apartment. The San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan is announcing a murder charge against McLeod. Mitchell was last seen with McLeod, whose car was found abandoned near the border with Mexico. Mitchell’s mother, Josephine Wentzel is a former detective; she has been on his trail since her daughter was found dead and has tracked him in Belize. McLeod goes by the name “RJ” and from time to time uses Matt or Mateo. He is five feet eleven inches in height and weighs in at about two hundred and fifteen pounds.  He has brown hair, hazel eyes and tattoos covering both arms and his collar bone.
