Butane Gas Takes Hike

If you plan to fill your one-hundred pound gas tank tomorrow in Belize City then plan to fork out seven dollars more than what you have been paying. It will now cost you one hundred and four dollars to fill that one hundred pound cylinder.  In a release issued by the Supplies Control Unit of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Commerce this evening, the new price for LPG goes up by seven dollars for one-hundred pound cylinder across the country. The new prices go into effect on Saturday, January thirteenth.  Belize City butane price moves from ninety-seven dollars to one hundred and four dollars. In the capital, the price has jumped from ninety-nine dollars to one hundred and six dollars; in San Ignacio the price increases from ninety-nine dollars to one hundred and six dollars and in Benque Viejo Del Carmen it goes up from one hundred dollars to one hundred and seven dollars.  In the north with that seven-dollar increase, butane in Orange Walk moves from ninety-eight dollars to one hundred and five dollars; in Corozal instead of paying ninety-seven dollars, you will now pay one hundred and four dollars. And if you live in Dangriga, a seven-dollar increase means you will need one hundred and eight dollars and in P.G., it will cost you one hundred and nine dollars.
