Accused Killer, Accomplice Surrender to Police

Twenty-six-year-old Rasheed Hyde is in custody tonight after surrendering himself to police earlier today.  The Georgeville resident has been charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm, following a failed hit on Russell Hyde Junior, a close relative of his.  On Sunday night, Hyde Junior was called out to a meat shop in Santa Elena Town where he was shot multiple times to the body.  Fortunately for the twenty-four-year-old he was able to survive the near-fatal attack.  In the wake of the shooting, an all-points bulletin was issued for Rasheed’s arrest as he was considered armed and dangerous.  He has since turned himself in without incident.  His accomplice, forty-eight-year-old Michael Mendoza has been arrested and charged with abetment to commit murder.
