Turning the “Comfort” of Tattoos Into a Business

Joshua Hyde, a young tattoo artist from Hattieville, is one of four participants to be recognized for outstanding commitment to excel in the program.  His reward for doing so was his very first, professional tattoo kit, complete with a tattoo machine and various colors of ink.  He explained the motivation behind taking part in the course.

“Well from I was young I used to draw or sit around.  Once I noh have nothing fi do, I wahn sit around and draw and that help me release stress otherwise.  So eena my room alone I have a lot of drawing.  My whole room design up and I find tattooing as wahn way ah comfort fi me.”



“So explain about the business that you will be embarking on now.”

“Well I’ll try to do my best and try to get out more pan di street and big up mihself more pan di street and do mi thing.”

“What about you that inspired your mentors to invest in your business by helping you with your resources and this tattoo kit for you to jump start your business?”

“Well I’ve been talking to my mentor and so for a while now and while talking to her I was doing some jobs but it was otherwise from a homemade machine that I built myself from home during my own spare time and I normally do it on weekends and I normally take a picture of my tattoo every time.”
