Yhony Rosado Puts Fate in Court’s Hands

So, how will Rosado’s mounting debt be resolved?  According to the tour operator, he is headed to court and the judge’s decision on a final dollar amount will determine how much he pays.

Yhony Rosado, Tour Operator,

“We’re taking this to court because there is plenty of room.  I haven’t, just like how I could explain myself to you in front of the whole country with a camera, I could have explained myself with them in a room if they would have given me the space.  So this has plenty of room to go to court.  So I want to tell my Belizean people because, especially my family, they are confused, when you are being charged or when you are handled with a summons or with a GST paper, don’t get alarmed.  Don’t try to get like me, about to kill myself with seven hundred thousand dollars when we know I will never earn that amount of money.  I don’t believe I will ever make seven hundred thousand dollars without, point blank, that’s a lot of money. We are taking and I’m letting the public know that whenever you are charged by the government or by any entity, the last option is the court and whatever the court says I owe, I will pay.  I don’t know how much years it will take me, but I will pay.”

We will attempt to get a comment from GST Commissioner Betty-Ann Jones later in the week.  All efforts so far have been futile.
