Broaster Heads to Ambergris for Crime Assessment

The gun violence on the island began one week ago in the San Pedrito area of town. On August twelfth, Lloyd Tyndall was shot multiple times to the abdomen and left leg and remains in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. During that attack at the Easy Does It A and A Woodwork Shop, two primary school children were also hit when several gunmen came up to the shop and opened fire on the unsuspecting group. Since then, Commander of Operations Edward Broaster, who has been substituting for ACP Dezerie Phillips, confirmed that patrols were increased in the area. But even with more boots on the ground, two murders were committed in the wake of the minors and Tyndall’s shooting. So what are the crime fighting efforts on the island?

“What I can say to that is the fact that we did boost personnel in San Pedro. As a matter of fact, we will be boosting more personnel in San Pedro. I personally after this will be leaving for San Pedro to do assessment on the ground and see exactly what’s happening on San Pedro. And I want to ask the residents in san Pedro to cooperate with the police as the police will be conducting vigorous operations in San Pedro to deal with this issue.”
