New Sitcom ‘Livin Mi Life’ Coming to T.V.

Kim Vasquez

A new locally produced sitcom that will air on this station is called “Livin’ Mi Life.”  It was written and created by Kim Vasquez, who partnered with Thirteen Productions and Steve Berry, a former professor at Howard University. It is the same team that brought you the locally acclaimed ‘No Matta Wat’ and they hope that you will enjoy Livin’ Mi Life just as much. We spoke with Vasquez today and she tells us why you should tune in at nine p.m. right here on Channel Five for the half-an-hour program.

Kim Vasquez, Creator & Writer, Livin’ Mi Life

“Belizeans should definitely tune in and have a good laugh. It premieres tonight at nine on Channel Five. A lot of effort has gone into it. We have a great cast; a lot of talent. We have put a lot of effort into the script itself and the production itself and this is something good for Belizeans to support.”

“Some of the characters – will we be seeing some familiar faces or new talent?”

Kim Vasquez

“Yes, you will see some familiar Belizean talent and you will see some new faces. And we are always looking for more. Anybody who is interested in acting and being a part of the cast, I would encourage them to visit Thirteen Productions on Albert Street and fill out a form there and I am sure they will get a call back and a response.  We also want to encourage viewers to support the cast; support the production by liking our Facebook page ‘Livin Mi Life’ and check that page for lots of updates, information about the cast. As I said, we have a very talented cast and we think it is funny and we do believe Belizeans will enjoy the sitcom.  This is something we have worked on for quite some time now and we are trying to build on the work that we did for No Matta Wat and we encourage and we appeal to the Belizean public to bear with us and to support the production we are doing. We hope that they will give us some positive feedback, some honest feedback so that we can improve and we hope that in addition to this first season, depending on the response that we get, we can come back later on this year with some more episodes.”
