“The approach that we are espousing is called Results Base Management (RBM) and presents an approach or set of tools that really simply and assist any kind of strategic planning and monitoring and reporting whether it is for a particular project, for a large sectoral programme, or for something as vast as your GSDS, basically the sustainable strategy for Belize which covers so many sectors. So, the idea is to put in place process where you can identify all the different pieces – what are the different programmes and projects trying to achieve and what are their expected results. How can we make sure we have good indicators to measure our progress for those expected results and where can we identify where we are gonna get that information for monitoring and reporting and putting in place the right tools to capture that information to measure our progress towards our expectation of our expected results and then not only report on them internationally as all countries  do, but more importantly use that information to learn and to improve and to adjust and strategically planned in an improved manner. So, it is about monitoring, reporting, focused on results that help us to improve the programming that we do to try and get where we are trying to go.”
