Lindsay Wade Says “Bring Mr. Middleton!”

Lindsay Wade

The final witness at today’s public hearing was former Immigration Officer at the Western Border Station, Lindsay Wade. He was formally accused in the Auditor General’s Report as the man who took the missing visa foils from the Cabinet over the Christmas holiday, a charge he denies. Wade says the one and only time he spoke to Mr. Middleton was after the allegations broke to ask why his name was called through a friend whom he did not wish to identify. He effectively dared the Committee to find and bring Middleton to Belmopan, but offered little information to assist them in a cross interrogation.

Lindsay Wade, Former Immigration Officer at Western Border

“Mr. Middleton don’t know me; if you bring him here today, he can’t identify me, and I don’t know him either. When the allegations broke probably a month after December, I made it my business to know who is Mr. Middleton, and he told me on the phone that he didn’t mention my name to Mr. Tench, so I don’t know why I am here today. I guess you need to bring Mr. Middleton here.”

Aldo Salazar, Chair, Senate Special Select Committee

“Well, maybe you can help us; do you know his first name?”

Lindsay Wade

“No, sir; I don’t even know his first name; I don’t even know how he looks.”

Aldo Salazar

“So how you got his number?”

Lindsay Wade

“I had somebody find him for me; somebody from Corozal. Because, well, if you had allegations broke about you, you would like to know who said it, right? And the person told me that there was this guy, Mr. Middleton, who said that I gave him so visas for sale, so I made it my business to find out who is Mr. Middleton.”

Aldo Salazar

“So you just called your friend in Corozal and told him to find out who is Mr. Middleton?”

Lindsay Wade

“No.”

Aldo Salazar

“How did you find out who Mr. Middleton was?”

Lindsay Wade

“The person found him for me.”

Aldo Salazar

“But what did you tell that person – find Mr. Middleton?”

Lindsay Wade

“No.”

Aldo Salazar

“So I want you to explain what you did, how you found out who Mr. Middleton was.”

Lindsay Wade

“The person told me that Mr. Middleton is the brother of someone who worked at Immigration…”

Aldo Salazar

“The brother of who?”

Lindsay Wade

“Another Mr. Middleton who used to work with us.”

Aldo Salazar

“You realize that they are saying you stole the visas?”

Lindsay Wade

“Yes, but what is the evidence…”

Aldo Salazar

“Because I think you are trying not to disclose…”

Lindsay Wade

“Someone is saying that I stole visas but when, where, how?”

Aldo Salazar

“I understand that, but because you are the person being accused of this…”

Lindsay Wade

“You should have brought Mr. Middleton here first, and he would have told you that he didn’t know me; and then I wouldn’t have had to come here today, because I don’t know Mr. Middleton.”

Back in 2011, Wade was one of four senior officers charged for immigration offenses when a plane loaded with Chinese nationals landed at the Phillip Goldson International Airport. Those charges were for forgery and purposely aiding and facilitating an offence. That case, however, was struck out for want of prosecution.

Yeah, and this same Wade was deeply involved. All of their testimonies should be duly recorded and used against them in the near future. They should also be made to understand that they could be prosecuted for perjury. You all are running a shell or a half #$%^& Senate inquiry. Check these people’s lifestyle against their salaries .

Not one of these crooks, or their puppet masters will go to court, and even if they did, lack of prosecution, as usual, will ensure they walk free! Guaranteed! This enquiry is just a front, just as the SSB one was back in the early 2000′s. Just a different colour pulling the strings and reaping the profits, but the same people end up paying for it.

This guy is corrupt. Why is he still in the immigration department? Check his involvement in other immigration scandal in the past. These are the corrupt people that should be in jail.
