From Yes to I do: the Wedding Expo and a Fashion Show Too

Jaime Correa

Thinking about getting married soon, or perhaps you’re just looking for something to do with your lover this weekend? You may want to visit the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel for the Wedding Expo hosted by Confetti. A variety of businesses tied to nuptials will be displayed and you may get some ideas for your special day. And if you want the perfect wedding dress, then catch the fashion show later in the evening, highlighted by an appearance from professional model and former two-time contestant on America’s Next Top Model, Bianca Golden. Golden and Confetti’s Jaime Correa spoke to News Five this afternoon in a preview.

“We’re incorporating all the different vendors, all the different providers in the wedding industry. That includes florists; that includes photographers, cake artists, makeup artists, the bridal apparel, the tuxedo rentals; so everything that a couple or a future couple that is about to get married [wants], they can have access to those people at the Expo. They can either have the opportunity of meeting a planner that is going to take care of everything they want; or if they are do-it-yourselfers, then they can access the vendors for them to actually be able to plan it and do it themselves.”

“Confetti has thrown together an amazing event and I wish I was one of the couples, coming down, because everything is put in one space for you. You get to meet all the different wedding vendors from your dresses to jewelry and florists – I mean, it’s a great place to be if you’re in this space or even wanting to get into this space, or if you’re just a lover of fashion, to be here. After that we have this amazing fashion show with local models and myself; we’ll be coming down and showcasing the latest designs, and after that we’re just going to lime. We’re going to have a party, we’re going to have a reception, and have a good, good time.”

Tickets are fifteen dollars for the Expo and fifty for the fashion show.
