Ex-Marine Turned Accused Killer May Be Hiding in Belize

The US Embassy has issued a bulletin seeking information on the whereabouts of U.S. national Raymond Samuel McLeod Junior, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Krystal Mitchell in San Diego on June tenth, 2016.  McLeod, who is also known as RJ, is believed to be in Belize and was last seen in Placencia. Just before the close of 2016, Josephine Funes Wentzel, wrote to News Five that after the murder, the suspect stole her daughter’s car, withdrew money from her account and fled to Mexico from where it is believed he made his way to Belize. According to Funes Wentzel, McLeod met Krystal, a mother of two children, when he moved into an apartment complex she was managing and stalked her.  She writes that he is a former U.S. Marine Recruiter who was on bail in California for attempting to kill his ex-wife by strangulation. Krystal was found dead at the apartment of an acquaintance and was last seen alive while with McLeod.  Anyone with information on McLeod is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Belize, the Police or the U.S. Embassy.  It is believed he may have access to weapons.  He is five feet eleven inches tall and weighs two hundred and forty-five pounds.
