Fire Reported at Price Barracks; Family’s Home Destroyed

There was a fire on Monday at one of the family houses at the Price Barracks compound. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the family lost everything. Commander of the B.D.F., Brigadier General David Jones told us that the B.D.F. will be providing assistance to the family. The cause hasn’t been officially determined but it believed to have been electrical.

“Yes, we had a fire on the camp. One of our families sustained, I believe, complete damage of their belongings. So we are in the process of relocating them to another house and replacing the furniture. We won’t be able to replace some of the personal belongings, some of the mementos and documents that were lost, but the furniture and equipment that were inside the house, we are going to be replacing all of them for the family.”

“Are you able to say perhaps what caused that fire?”

“Well, the investigation from the Fire Department isn’t over, but we strongly believe it was an electrical fire.”
