Patrick Faber Retains Major Ministries After Losing Junior Minister

Elodio Aragon Jr.

While the new Minister of State for Home Affairs is pleased to once again be involved with the Police Department, he had to leave his old portfolio of Youth, Sports and Culture behind rather quickly, in the midst of sweeping changes. Today, he discussed how old boss Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber will be handling the powerful quartet of Ministries, mostly on his own.

Elodio Aragon Jr., Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs

“When I get into something I really want to make a difference and at the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, we already had our plans; things that we wanted to achieve and I think we were working towards that. A lot of people can see the difference that we were trying to make. But at the end of the day, this is life; this is what it’s all about. I am here with the police and I will gladly take up this challenge and put my all into this. And of course the people at NICH, the people at the Ministry of Sports and Youths, of course it saddens me because if I was there I would continue on what we want to achieve for the betterment of this country.”

“Are you concerned that all those changes you put into effect, will now perhaps fall by the wayside or that momentum you had created will fall by the wayside because necessarily, Mister Faber has his hands very full with education and being deputy Prime Minister?”

Elodio Aragon Jr.

“Well I think we have our C.E.O. there; Miss Catzim is there so I am sure that that will continue. I have already sat with the DPM, Mister Patrick Faber and given him a briefing on where we were with the different programs in the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture and I asked him for us to continue with it because these are good things in terms of where we can take those ministries. And that is where it is and I look forward to even greater things to come out of those ministries that I previously held.”
