Kareem Musa Wonders at Police’s Double Standards

Kareem Musa

While Finnegan called out Brackett, Brackett’s attorney – Kareem Musa – who is also the area representative for the Caribbean Shores called out the police. He says he’d like to see the same level of effort from police when going after white-collared criminals as they did with his client.

Kareem Musa, Area Rep., Caribbean Shores

“I don’t want to prejudge the police officers; they are just doing their jobs so I have to respect that. But you have to remember that I am not only an attorney, but I am a politician as well.  And so when I put on my political cap, I have to ask these same police officers where is this vigor to go and arrest the ministers in government. Heinous, capital offenses—we are talking murder. What happened to justice for Munchie Cervantes Senior? What happen to the justice for Pastor Lue? We are talking about ministers whose vehicles are being driven into the sea, ministers who beat their wives. Where is the justice for those wives? Where is the justice for the crimes against our patrimony—the sale of passports, the sale of visas? These police officers are not doing their jobs and we have a Commissioner of Police who has shown complete disregard for the Chief Justice’s order to turn over the Penner file. This is 2016; that was from 2014. And so we have an unjust state where the police is being completely manipulated and controlled by the politicians and I am afraid that this is one of those instances as well.”
