Did William ‘Danny’ Mason Rub Shoulders with ‘Sedi’ Elrington?

William Mason

The tale of William “Danny” Mason continues in the headlines. That’s because the feeding frenzy is still rabid.  Numerous ministers and senior public officers have admitted they trekked up Intelco Hill to the home of the accused murderer. No one would admit they did anything out of the ordinary, but if you listen to Mason, he was being extorted left, right and center. And tonight there is fresh information that telling surveillance video has been recovered, which shows the long list of persons that visited Mason house, as recent as a week before the beheading of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas. Whenever we get the opportunity, we would ask politicians whether they had been to the Intelco Hill house. Today, we asked Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington.

Wilfred Elrington, U.D.P. Minister

“I’ve never met him. As a rule, I am like the prime minister; perhaps I am worse than the prime minister. I go from work to home, home to work. It is hard for me to say that I have any real friends in Belize as such. The course of my life, maybe only one or two people, that I know ever come to my house and I certainly don’t go to their house. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t gamble; I don’t play games, I don’t party. So I am not likely to come across people and I don’t live in the limelight or the high life. I tend to like to be very much on the ground away from the shiny lights and away from the wealth that is displayed and thing. I don’t like that at all. I don’t even like to be in crowd.”

Duane Moody

“Sir the Prime Minister himself has said that he’s not tolerating any kind of corruption from any of his minister. If he finds any evidence of it to be true, he will take necessary action. Is that something that you would support given the fact that Mister Mason has said that he has evidence, he has videos, files, incriminating some ministers.”

Wilfred Elrington

“I have zero tolerance for corruption. Zero tolerance for impropriety; zero tolerance for bad behavior…zero. So in that regard, prime minister and I are on the same page—zero tolerance.”
