“I think we have been very well received with these numbers and overall, we’ve reached over two hundred thousand in the first six months which is breaking record numbers for us and we are super ecstatic about it.”

“We saw the development in mainly the northern islands and we’ve seen some growth in other areas such as southern Belize, the south east coast and the west coast, but overall these are numbers that we still need to analyze further.”

Duane Moody

“How about the cruise tourism aspect of it? Have we seen an increase there?”

Noriko Gamero

“So we had a two point six percent increase in cruise tourism as well. our biggest numbers were May and June with forty-one point four percent and twenty-one point eight percent respectively and we continue to see a trend towards the increase for the rest of the year.”

“Now we know that the main thing is to get more heads in beds.”

Noriko Gamero

“Well right. In addition to the North American marketing, we are also doing the co-marketing agreement with COPA in South America. We have the European marketing agreement so we are definitely expanding our regions. Last month I think we also did a release on the inter-regional campaign with SICA so we are diversifying our markets and our efforts as well. Of course we cannot leave out our local market. We are still pushing our Belizean travelers, be a local traveler in your own country. There is so much to see here and we always encourage the Belizeans to travel home as well. So we are definitely doing everything in our power to get those heads to beds.”
