Meanwhile, police are facing a roadblock in their investigation of another shooting incident that occurred last Tuesday night at the Crooked Tree junction on the Phillip Goldson Highway. Twenty-five-year-old Belize City resident, Stephen Palacio, reported to police that he was shot by someone as he stood outside his vehicle. Palacio was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital, but checked himself out of the hospital without giving a statement to the police.

“There is no update to that story. We try to confirm the shooting at the area with the victim. As a matter of fact, the victim had checked himself out of the hospital in Orange Walk and we’re still looking into his story.”
