Akeem Trapp to Stand Trial for Murder

Akeem Trapp

Nineteen-year old Akeem Kirklin Trapp Junior will stand trial at the June session of the Supreme Court for the murder of eighteen year old Ian Adolphus which occurred on February twenty-fourth 2015 on Gill Street, Belize City.  That is the result of a preliminary inquiry that concluded today during which Trapp made attempts to challenge the prosecution’s evidence by indicating to Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser that Aldophus had lied to his mother when he allegedly told her before dying that Trapp had shot him. The suspect pointed out the allegation is the only evidence to link him to the murder, but the Senior Magistrate was not convinced and committed him to stand trial for Adolphus’ murder. Trapp intends to call his friend Stacey Reneau and his mother, Julie Thurton to testify on his behalf.  Adolphus was shot three times.
