RTA Victim Julia Arana Still Critical at the K.H.M.H.

Julia Arana

Fifty-nine-year-old Julia Arana, a domestic of Trial Farm Village, remains hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night.  The 2007 Toyota Hilux that knocked down Arana was driven at the time by Orange Walk South Area Representative Jose Abelardo Mai.  According to Mai, he was driving along a stretch of road on the Phillip Goldson Highway when upon reaching San Martin Gas Station he saw a woman suddenly appear in front of his vehicle.  Despite attempting to veer out of the way, Mai couldn’t avoid hitting her.  The near-fatal incident has left Arana comatose and clinging to life.  News Five spoke with Nissan Arana earlier today, who told us that his mother is showing signs of improvement.
