Bradley Says Perceived Inactivity Since Elections Is Unsubstantiated

Darrell Bradley

With general elections well behind, Belize City Mayor Darrell Bradley, some believe, has been lying low as it relates to activities at City Hall. Earlier today when the media caught up with Bradley, he was asked about his perceived inactivity. Bradley says it is the first time he is hearing about it and besides, he has a full plate before him.

“It appears for the last few months you who have been lauded as mayor who refuses to sit back and watch the status quo continue, there seems to be a lull in activity in your office, in your specific station. Why is it that pre-election and post-election, Darrell Bradley seems to be less active?”

“I don’t know where that comes from I mean we are right now dealing with our collective bargaining agreement for the city Council, this morning I was talking to the director of local government about doing a presentation from the municipal authorities bill. I am out here touring with some people from the American Planning Association.”

“But this is two months after sir…”

“I don’t know months, days, whatever you are talking about but every single day we do projects and activities and we try to do our best to move the city forward. Public perception is public perception but I can tell you that as mayor, I work.”

LOL. LMAO. So, people finally noticed. I was in Belize pre and post elections and we were chuckling at the fact that it seems as if he was a sore loser, and a vindictive one at that. He’s no different from Dean. We laughed because he left that small patch of street in front of UWI untouched for a while. I understand they finished it late Dec or in January. This backed up traffic all the way to Ladyville, yes, just that small piece of untouched street. It’s one of the main arteries, so, everyone who lived to the right of and behind Coney drive had to come around, and people coming off the Northern Highway was also using Coney drive to get away from the log jam. Don’t get upset, “Lil Darryl.” You lost your own elections in your area. I was at two different houses on two different occasions when you were campaigning. When you left, the entire households where you had an hundred percent support and they have been UDPs from their mothers’ and grandmothers’ days, went and voted for PUP. I can tell you why, but then if I have to tell you, it’s best I ran for politics. Even Stevie Wonder could have seen your mistake. I digress.
