5 Accidents in Precinct Four. What’s Happening Motorists?

Traffic accidents have become a perennial problem. Today there were five in the precinct-four jurisdiction in the city alone and police report that there have been at least two daily accidents in the past three weeks. This morning, near Artic Cold at miles four on the Phillip Goldson Highway, a motorcycle and a car, traveling in the same direction, crashed into each other. Nineteen year old Eldroy Andrews, a Lord’s Bank resident, who was traveling on the motorbike sustained a broken left foot and remains hospitalized. Superintendent Linden Flowers says that motorists are required to exercise caution.

“What does the police understand happened?”

“It’s understood that the motorcycle rider came up alongside a vehicle that was driven by a member of the coastguard. He overtook the gentleman in the vehicle and a short distance before overtaking, he lost control. We understand that the road was wet and Mister Andrews began to swerve in front of the vehicle which collided with him and then ran off the road. The vehicle that was behind the first vehicle that collided with Mister Andrews, that he had also overtaken from the distance coming up, had to swerve to the right of the road. Fortunately, Mister Andrews was not injured by that second vehicle. That vehicle then hit the motorcycle that was laying in the road and ran off the highway.”
