Yasmin Shoman

But P.U.P. candidate, Yasmin Shoman, is neither fazed by what Faber has to say. Shoman has been on the ground in the division for over a year and says she has a good sense of the needs of the division. According to Shoman, Collet is the battleground for a swing division that is projected to go back to the P.U.P.

Yasmin Shoman, P.U.P. Candidate, Collet

“I have been sharing my vision and plan for the past year. And the main need in Collet aside from jobs is decent housing. So for the past three month, I have been giving out housing applications because god willing, the moment we form government, I already have a data base because we know who are the people most affected and who will be our priority ad they don’t have to worry about political victimization. We are going to create close to thirty thousand new jobs; we are going to build in the Collet division alone twelve hundred houses. I am going to bring industry back in the Collet division by the creation of a sewing factory; that will be eight hundred jobs. I will a credit union to provide two percent financing so that people can own their homes. So we have a lot of things. Free daycare for a year…free feeding programs. We will be building another high school in the Collet division. We will build three health centers that are twenty-four hours operational so we are looking at empowering our people and a comprehensive approach of taking the people of Collet out of poverty so that they do not have to be independent on any minister—whether red or blue. They will be independent minded enough.”
