Woman Raped in Indian Creek Village

Via Phone: Insp. Clement Cacho

Tonight the Punta Gorda Police Department is investigating an unusual and very disturbing allegation of rape. Over the weekend a student claims that she was beaten up by a group of females, then held down by one man and raped by another. There have been no arrests so far, but according to the Deputy Commander of the Punta Gorda Formation Inspector Clement Cacho, that’s only because the Police are conducting a thorough investigation to cover all bases. He spoke to us via phone today.

On the Phone: Insp. Clement Cacho, Deputy Commander, Punta Gorda Formation

“A twenty-one year old female visited the Punta Gorda Police Station and reported that while she was walking on the Southern Highway she was attacked by a group of persons and that one male person held her down and another had sex with her against her will. In regards to that report she was taken to the medical authorities so an examination could be conducted on her. She was interviewed by a psychologist due to her condition. She was visited by the Police who retrieved physical evidence to confirm that this incident did occur and the matter is currently under investigation. However we have not detained anybody as yet as we are going through our due diligence, and as we get through the media will be notified of any arrests that are made.”

“Sir in terms of the identification…was the victims able to identify any of the persons as being known to her?”

On the Phone: Insp. Clement Cacho

“Yes she has. However we may need to do an identification parade so I would not be at liberty to release names of anyone at this point in time because it may jeopardize our case in the future.”
