Body of Bobbo Youth Found Floating in Haulover Creek

Theodore "Bobbo Youth" Parchue

Police have positively identified the body of a man pulled from the Haulover Creek this morning as that of thirty-three year old Theodore Parchue, better known as Bobbo Youth. He was perhaps best known for his musical talent more than a decade ago when he blazed a trail on the local scene with hits like “Love It A Di Answer.” But in 2006 he fell afoul of the law when he was convicted for burglary and sentenced to seven years behind bars. He served that sentence but never reappeared on the music scene, and we are told that he was homeless, living under the Belcan Bridge. And that’s where his body was found this morning at around eight-thirty, by a fisherman who got the shock of his life.

While a post-mortem examination will be conducted on Thursday, Police do not suspect foul play. Bobbo Youth suffered from epileptic fits and it is believed that he had an episode during the night, fell into the river and drowned.

  1. Rev. Mary Martin says:

While reporting the manner in which Theodore Parchue’s body was found is good reporting. However, the footage showing Mr. Parchue’s body is unnecessary at best and deplorable at worst. If it is necessary to explain, then there is little hope for decency and respectability relating to our brothers and sisters.

  2. Ivy says:

Rev. Martin, they actually used to show more than what you see of Mr. Parchue. There are past stories where they would show the victim’s faces and/or body full on. It was very disrespectful of the families who are grieving, as well as the victim.

    At last some good news

  4. BelizeanInAsia says:

That is So true Rev. It was totally unnecessary and very disrespectful to show this young man’s body like that. The same situation happened with the young lady suffering from sever depression apparently committed suicide by drowning herself near the swing bridge about a year ago. Her body was in plain view being hauled out of the river by one arm. The man is not a dead dog mein! Respect!!
