Edward Broaster

An accident in Scotland Halfmoon Village on Saturday night left several people nursing injuries. While no one was fatally injured at least eight people, including children, received cuts and bruises when two vehicles crashed around six-thirty that evening at the entrance of Scotland Halfmoon. Rural Regional Commander of Eastern Division says that the results of the samples sent to test for alcohol levels will be ready by the end of this week, but so far one person will be charged.

“Two Ford Rangers that were traveling in the same direction towards Bermudian Landing from the Philip Goldson Highway when upon reaching the junction of Scotland Halfmoon, Ms Patricia Hendy the driver of the gray ford ranger that was in the lead made a left turn and was collided into by the vehicle that was in the rear driven by Lawrence Banner. Initial investigations reveal that we had about eight individuals who received varying degrees of injuries and they were taken to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital where they were treated. Both parties were served with NIPs and alcohol blood sample and urine sample were obtained from both parties. The initial investigation is showing that the driver of the gray ford ranger, Ms Hendy, will be charged for failing to give way.”
