…But How If They are Boycotting National Executive Meetings?

Julius Espat

While Silva’s position is that they have a righteous cause for going against the status quo, Deputy Leader Julius Espat maintains that boycotting national executive meetings does nothing to bring about meaningful change within the party.

Julius Espat, Deputy Leader, P.U.P.

“If you are recommending for us to have meetings and you be a part of it, then why not come? If you are recommending changes, then why don’t present it? if you are saying we are not consulting, then why not be here at the first consultation? You understand what I am saying? So you have to have facts when you are presenting something. You can’t just throw something out and expect that people will swallow it when it has no basis behind it.”

But sir, you have the super majority behind them and so that could make the concerns be diminished.”

Julius Espat

“I like what you said…we have the super majority and we will maintain the super majority. And that super majority will help us to form the government.”

The tour is entitled, “Power to the People,” and as we said, it will travel across the country.

The problem is that only a few in the party make decision . They do not involve every body that should be involved. Mr. J. Bricenio said one time. How can they maintain unity in the party like this? Some of them thy control the PUP do not like when a senior member tell them about the wrongs that the party makes or have made . A good leader will listen to all suggestion instead of showing that he is strong and will not bend to listen.
