Chopping Victim In Need of Urgent Surgery Amid Go-slow at K.H.M.H.

Adolfo Cantun

But while the K.H.M.H. staff was lobbying for a salary adjustment the hard way, by effecting a go-slow at the hospital, patients, including twenty-seven-year-old Irvin Cantun, were affected.  After being viciously attacked with a machete during an incident in Palmar Village last Monday, Cantun has been in need of surgery to his face and arm.  Those procedures, however, were put on hold as a result of the industrial action.  This afternoon, Adolfo Cantun told the media of the family’s plight.  He says his son has remained hospitalized for eight days and hasn’t been able to get the attention he deserves.
