‘Papa’ Mena to be Sworn in as Minister of State

Frank ‘Papa’ Mena

While some may quibble over and analyze the numbers to suit their own specific agendas, a win is a win, even if only by one vote so six hundred and thirty-eight is a perfectly respectable margin of victory. So respectable, in fact, that it’s earned Frank ‘Papa’ Mena a seat in Cabinet. Today, an official release announced that Mena will be sworn in Monday as the new Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security. But even as the election results came out, the PM was already confirming Mena’s ascension.

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“Absolutely! For all sorts of reasons! I believe that if I didn’t the people of Dangriga, Hope Creek and Sarawee would feel extremely hard done by and perhaps I don’t need to go beyond that. So the answer is yes.”

“Are you satisfied with the margin by which the U.D.P. won?”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“Absolutely satisfied! It’s an increase from March. It’s an increase over the amount by which we won on the solid votes in March. Six hundred and thirty-seven strikes me as quite a thumping vote of confidence in the government and that’s what I am concerned about. So I am completely satisfied. It’s a large margin and I feel absolutely thrilled about the size of the victory. In terms of Frank’s determination and drive I don’t think there is any chance of him not delivering and of course government is there to support him. So no, this is a momentum builder. This I think puts him in a near unassailable position for the general election.”

I Believe he have blame the UDP Gov. enough. Let me tell you sir, it is not about who is in power but what morals we are instilling in our CHILDREN. It is PM Barrow at home? If we (Parents) raise them with good morals values we will have productive CITIZENS but if we raise them on the street we cannot expect any less, thieves, murderer, abusers, and all other adjectives. So lets stop blaming others and get busy to working with our family and even with our own self.
