Belize Jaguars Need Your Financial Assistance for Round 3 of Football Competition

Marlon Kuylen

While all hopes are that the Belize national team will advance to the next round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match, the reality is that the Football Federation of Belize does not have the funds for the team to participate in the away games. According to Executive Member of F.F.B., Marlon Kuylen, this trip cost them over a hundred thousand dollars and they will need the support of the public and government when they advance.

“The team is very motivated. That performance really took their level of confidence up a notch and we are not looking back now and they are very focused. They are very tired, but very focused as well.”

Duane Moody

“We know that following the games on Sunday and we are anticipating that we are going to win that game as well, the next leg you guys will need monies to travel there. How are you going to get it?”

Marlon Kuylen

“Well this trip alone cost us over a hundred thousand dollars and hopefully, if the stadium gets full on Sunday, that will help for us to recover. But going forward, we will have to go to the Belizean public and hopefully G.O.B. can help us too.”

Channel Five will be broadcasting the game live starting at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tune in to this station for the home game between Belize and the Dominican Republic.
