Big Tom Granted Bail for Traffic Offense

It has been twenty days since notorious criminal figure, thirty-eight year old Kenneth Flowers, aka “Big Tom”, was convicted and sentenced to six months imprisonment for Driving a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License. His conviction came after he pleaded guilty. This morning, in the court room of the Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith, Flowers’ attorney, Bryan Neal was successful in getting a stay which means that his jail term will be ceased as of today. Neal had to convince the court that of a number of issues including that Flowers would have spent the six months in prison by the time his appeal is heard by the Court of Appeal which sits twice for the year. The prosecution left it in the hands of the Chief Magistrate. Bail in the sum of two thousand dollars was granted on the condition that he pays one thousand dollars in cash forthwith and he must report to the police station every Monday and Friday and remain at the address provided to the court. On March sixth, 2015, Flowers was disqualified from driving for twelve months for the traffic offense.
