Says His Email Was Hacked

Marcel Cardona

Cardona says he feels that he has been denied a fundamental right by not having had the opportunity to mount a defence on his own behalf. Not only was he completely unaware of the meeting of the General Legal Council on Wednesday, but he has not been made privy to any decision of that disciplinary body. He believes that the complaint was made out of malice, without any basis in fact. Cardona told News Five today that in fact he never sent any email making reference to the bribing of a magistrate which would mean that his email was hacked.

Marcel Cardona, Attorney

“Let me be very clear. For sixteen years I have done all I can do to uphold the laws of Belize to the best of my knowledge, to the best of my skills, to the best of my ability. I swore an oath when I became an attorney-at-law to ensure that everything I do I do within the ambit of the law. I would have had to be a lunatic or something, or to have lost my senses to do anything like that. And truthfully, truthfully, no email has been sent as has been alleged from my office in relation to that. In fact as of these last few days I have been reliably informed that my office email may have been compromised, and I am looking into that matter very seriously. It appears that from time to time devious individuals may wish to fabricate evidence or stuff against me and then try to use it against me. This is the situation in regards to these allegations.”

you were always a lunatic and didn’t know it. How do hackers know of details and have your documents to refer to?
