No Arrests in Ricardo Triminio’s Murder, OW Police Continue to Follow Leads

The murder of fifty-seven year old businessman Ricardo Triminio in Orange Walk Town has left the community stunned. Triminio was shot and killed in his shop, Munchies Snack Shop on Progress Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning, but his body was found several hours later. Police haven’t arrested anyone in connection with this latest homicide, but they said they are following several leads. In an interview with the media on Tuesday, Triminio’s mother recounts hearing the shots, but had no idea her son was the target.

Vivian Triminio, Mother of the deceased

“I heard some gunshots but I didn’t figure it was gunshots because there was light. I figured it was something and I get up and look at the clock it was two a.m and I went back to bed. I didn’t figure anything so when I got up this morning I asked my daughter if she heard anything last night. She said yes she heard some gun shots.  It’s not unusual that he would go out and come back but he doesn’t stay long. So I asked the neighbor did you see him and he said no. I was a bit astonished so I just figured that maybe he went somewhere. When I look out yah I saw the police come with the basket to take and I asked what was going on? What was going on? I was so frightened because I didn’t hear anything from anyone before I saw the police. How the police know and they came out here you know. So that’s what I was alarmed about.”

“What can you tell us about your son and his shop. He used to open through out the night?”

Vivian Triminio

“Yes, mostly. He opened late. He opened late at night because as you can see the front was still open.”

Reporter

“Do you know if he had any enemies that would want to do this to him?”

Vivian Triminio

“That I cannot tell. That I cannot tell. No. No. Hmm uh. I don’t know.”

Police say that nothing was taken from the shop and they are still trying to determine the motive of this latest murder. And in respect to the Belize City murder in which twenty-six year old Jaime Chavarria was executed, there have been no new leads and police continue to investigate.

Hmm How did the police know, sounds like triminio wasn’t paying any bribery money to the police so they send out a hit on him…simple. Someone needs to record these cops doing their dirt I know cause I would visit drug lords houses with other cops as partners to pick up paper bags of money for the supervisor mind u I was a rookie and one of the drug lords said to me get out of it it’s not your type of job..he saw me a couple times before and found out all about me. Jah noh sleep u yer
