Elderly Man from Camalote Village & Gwen Liz Student are Missing

Cayetano Nah

An elderly man has been reported missing in the Belmopan area. According to caretaker, forty-three year old Alexander Sheppard, on Monday afternoon he went to deliver lunch to eighty-three year old Cayetano Nah, but he was nowhere to be found. He was last seen earlier that day when Sheppard took him breakfast at his home in Camalote Village.  Nah was reportedly wearing a long black pants and a brown short sleeved shirt. Sheppard remains concerned because up to news time today, Nah has still not returned home. Meanwhile in the city, a Gwen Lizarraga High School student has been reported missing by her grandmother. Anne Bowen came to News Five’s studio as a last resort to locate fourteen year old Crystal Faber. The minor, according to Bowen, left her Black Orchid Street house in the Saint Martin De Porres area en route to an internet café on Antelope Street. That was around six o’clock on Tuesday night and since then, she has not been seen or heard from.

“She left from home at about six yesterday telling me that she was going to the internet to do her homework and she hasn’t returned since then.”

Duane Moody

“Talk to us about the efforts you’ve done to locate her since then.”

Anne Bowen

“Well this morning at about eight o’clock we went to the internet café—me and the officers. The person who was working at the café said that she didn’t go to the café. From there, me and the officers were all about and we didn’t locate her up until now.”

Duane Moody

“You went to the school as well?”

Anne Bowen

“Yes sir, we did go to the school.”

Duane Moody

“Where could Crystal be?”

Anne Bowen

“I don’t know sir. That is what I want to know. Whosoever have her, please send her home; she has parents and she has family.”

Duane Moody

“Do you think that something bad has happened to her or that she just maybe ran away?”

Anne Bowen

“Well this is not the first time she ran away sir; this is the third time she has done it. I talked to her about it and same thing she did.”

Duane Moody

“Is there any reason as to why she would want to run away and not be at home?”

Anne Bowen

“Well I don’t know. She is the only one who knows. Anything she wants, she gets so I don’t know why she run away.”

Duane Moody

“Who do you believe she is with?”

Anne Bowen

“Probably with friends.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Crystal Faber is asked to contact the nearest police station, Anne Bowen at 631-1775 or Crime Stoppers Belize at 0-800-922-TIPS.
