B.D.F. Investigation Into Missing Ammo Continues

Tonight, the B.D.F. is still trying to determine who stole two containers of ammunition being held for the U.S. army in training on the B.D.F. compound. On Friday, we reported that a robbery at the compound resulted in a number of military-grade ammunition stolen from the secured base. The B.D.F. confirmed that while they are doing their own internal investigation, the CIB is also actively investigating the robbery. The stolen ammunition is used in military M-sixteen or M-four rifles and is valued at approximately twenty thousand dollars. On Friday, B.D.F. Chief of staff Lt. Col Raymond Shepherd told the media that it was a definite inside job. In response for an update on the robbery, Lt. Col Shepherd of the B.D.F. told us via text, “The investigation is still in progress. We have conducted several interviews and still have a number to go before we can release our findings. All I can say so far is that our systems and procedures have not failed but it was the people who were entrusted to support those systems and operate according to procedures have failed.”

  1. Rev Mary Martin says:

Systems and procedures are to be “fail safe,” no matter who is involved. Sorry, the system and procedures failed. If not corrected, this scenario will repeat. Hoping for a positive outcome.
