Ras Indio has Visions of Life

Reggae artist, Ras Indio, is back in the news tonight. And that’s because he has launched a new DVD called ‘Visions of Life.’ The artist, who has established himself internationally, has been collaborating with other creative minds in the industry. Today, he stopped by News Five to tell us all about this latest project, which features the video for “Plant Di Corn,” inspired by the plight of BGYEA in attempting to plant corn in an area designated as a buffer zone.

“This one is a brand new twist. We decided to release an album in the form of a DVD, which means now you will be able to visualize when you listen. So when you look up you see my handsome place. So, definitely a new thing to the market, especially here in Belize, where we took all my songs that have a video and we put them all on one project. We added two small teasing clips of my trip to Africa, when I went to Egypt and Ethiopia.”

“So if I buy ‘Visions of Life’ is there anything different, anything new we can expect from Ras Indio?”

“Yes. There is a lotta new stuff on this. I collaborated with my brother and a lot of new artists, hiphop, on a song called ‘Time is Now,’ which was shot by Alexander Ellis. So we have to big up all the people who involved; Erson Picart; Paul Munnings; Anonymous B; Jah Camp Cinema. Big up Price Box Films that did ‘Plant the Corn.’ That is the latest one and what we did, we went all the way back to Belizean Girls, which was one of the original anthems including Melody Man and Ras Cat. We came all the way up to the present to include Plant the Corn, Love You Mama, Time is Now, Fire Blaze Dem A Fraud  and Ghetto Anthem is a new one featuring’ Barrow’. He is a young hip-hop artist in L.A.”

‘Visions of Life’ is only going for twenty-five dollars and is available at music outlets across the country. For a list of where to purchase your copy and more information on his upcoming works, visit Ras Indio’s Facebook page and website.
