Former EP Yorke teacher Acquitted of Carnal Knowledge Charges

Cordel Gonzalez

In late 2009, the then E. P. Yorke Teacher, Cordel Gonzalez, was charged with two counts of Carnal Knowledge upon a fourteen year old student. He lost his job after a video tape surfaced purportedly showing him engaged in a sexual act with the young girl.  But today in court, the charges ended in a nolle prosequi in the courtroom of Justice Adolph Lucas and Gonzalez was set free, for now at least. The case fell apart because the victim, who is now nineteen and living overseas, has difficulties travelling back to Belize and could not testify. Allegations are that on the first and twenty-ninth of November 2009 he had sex with the girl. The school found out and informed the child’s mother who took her daughter to the police to make a report. Gonzalez, however, has been freed of the charges.

what!!!!!! they have proof, they know he did it, and just let him go… great people
that’s something else, wow you amazed me, you see justice not always protect the innocent
and in Belize that is always, never the innocent get the benefit of justice, only money and
positions are relevant, not justice. I got a question to the judges and that kind of people:
what happens if your daughter was in that position? so you gladly just let go the perv?
I know you will seek for justice, but remember you are iin power so practicly you are the
    bad justice

This family is an enigma. They are blessed with material things and cursed by God. It’s one problem after the next. They are all consumed by greed, love of money and use and abuse people. Remember the younger brother who was charged with murder and was caught in the US and deported to face charges? He spent about two years in jail and the case fell apart. The mother paid out a hefty lump sum. She’s a praying woman but I think she’s trying to right the wrong she did by spoiling her children and thinking that being a parent was giving them what they wanted. This is his M.O. and that of another sibling. If they aren’t young they don’t want them; seems as if that’s a fetish. I feel for one sibling, the doctor, because he’s a genuine guy. Met him in a social gathering with my cousin, who’s friends with him. The young lady probably can’t travel because of possibly visa issues. This wasn’t his first time either. There was another issue that had come up with him. Mothers, we need to pay more attention to our female children. However, times are so hard that it’s some of these same mothers who “pimp” out their daughters. I saw for my own two eyes where a forty something old man was picking up a seventeen year old child and returning her at six in the morning. Whew!!!!
