Said Musa Calls House Meeting Crap!

Said Musa

Usually the Prime Minister closes the session in the House, but today Area Representative of Fort George, Said Musa, felt inspired. He pulled no punches, claiming that the government’s entire reason for the session today is crap, their argument is crap, and just for good measure, Musa added that the junior attorney much scorned by the PM is in fact absolutely correct.

Said Musa, Area Representative, Fort George

“This whole rigmarole, all this crap that we’ve been hearing in this House today Mister Speaker from that side, has to do with wanting to grandstand and to pretend that today the nineteenth of January, we are now ensuring that the crop can start by passing this law in one day. Well Mister Speaker—and the Prime Minister has been at pains to try and point out—that we need this law to make constitutional what is not presently constitutional. Nothing I’ve heard today from the government’s side, from the member who presented the Bill, the member for Orange Walk North, the Deputy Prime Minister; who I don’t think understand what he is actually presented today—I listened to him very keenly. But in any event, the truth of the matter is in no way…what people like the junior lawyer—the one who is the empty vessel that the Prime Minister called—what she has been saying from day one is the gospel truth; that this Prime Minister has fraudulently abused the integrity of this nation by suggesting that they don’t understand that you need to amend the law and that you can’t do it by going to court. Yo can’t go to court to get a mandamus; all nonsense. But the truth of the matter is Mister Prime Minister that there is nothing in this amendment, which you say will now make constitutional everything that is in the sugar industry, nothing amends that same section six that gave the power and gives the power to the Sugar Industry Control Board to set the grinding season. And for the Prime Minister to tell this nation, well yes maybe they could have set it and maybe the court could have ordered it. But how can the court order anything to be done when the court doesn’t have an army, doesn’t have a police to inform it? Mister Prime Minister last time I heard that said it was by Hitler in Nazi, Germany…that the courts don’t have no power, only the government. We have the political power. That is the clear sign of this country sliding into a dictatorship.”

  1. Ali BaBarrow lies! says:

Belizeans want a dictator who can think for them.

Ali is a strong thief the gangs respect.

The workers must lower themselves and accept their position in life, Ali is their master.
