George McKenzie Jr. Served with Unusual Order

George McKenzie Jr.

Although the order was issued December fifteenth 2014 for the period of one year, it was not until after two this afternoon that McKenzie Junior was taken into police custody from his house in Majestic Alley. He was escorted to the police station where he was issued the order, almost a month after it was signed by Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith.  According to Major, her son’s life has recently been threatened.

Melissa Major, Mother of George McKenzie Junior

“They police well know that my son noh di do nothing and di give no trouble. I di cry out to them to help my son. Recently last week, I di call Broaster; I di call Mister Grinage. The last person I spoke to was Mister Grinage on Tuesday evening before I left [work], telling him about the death threats my son is getting going to Wesley [Junior] College; that they will kill him at school. I speak to ahn, beg and cry to them to please have a police mobile circle in the area, one-two-three times. I am not asking you to station to Wesley College to watch my son. Mister Broaster said yes, I wah work with it; I will talk to precinct one and thing. Nothing happened and the Tuesday, I spoke with Mister Grinage before I left out of my work. Mister Grinage said he can’t promise me that ih wah have one, two mobile circling because everywhere hot right now. Ih ask mi if I have ih cell phone number, I told him yes sir. “What’s the next step that you are going to take?”

Melissa Major

“Any other step weh wah help my son on a positive way cause dah positivity I fight with. I noh fight with negativity. So any other thing that will help my son, I wah fight with and I will fight till the day I die.  I supposed to meet with my lawyer tomorrow morning. I went to see him today, but he was not there. I spoke to another lawyer and this is the advice that I got and so I push on this. But my lawyer not even know about this interview that I am giving, but I left message with him and I will contact him as soon as I leave from here.”

Due to the death threats that McKenzie Junior has been getting, Major says, that she has since had to remove him from school at Wesley Junior College in fear of her son being killed.

News 5 could you be a little clearer? What did the order say??

And why do the police need to ‘see’ if they can assist in protecting the youth from any possible harm upon his life? The last time I checked, it is their job to protect citizens no matter who they are.
