Jason Williams Gets Additional Prison Sentence for Stealing Rental Car

Jason Williams

He is already serving a five-year jail term for firearm and ammunition offenses and will now spend his thirty-eighth birthday behind bars because Jason Williams was convicted today and got an additional five year jail term for theft. Williams was accused of stealing from Euphrates Auto Rentals owner, Robert Wagner, a 2007 Kia Sportage SUV that he had initially rented on January sixth, 2014 for two days, but failed to return despite interventions by Wagner. The late evening conviction came after Williams put up a defense on his own telling the court that he had paid to rent the vehicle up until January 8, 2014 so he does not understand how he has been charged. But Wagner told the court that the rental should have been returned on January eighth but did not and that on the ninth, he made a call to Williams’ cell phone who asked him for two additional two weeks to take care of some land issues in Placencia.  Wagner said that before the conversation ended with Williams, he told him to return his vehicle and pay for the additional time he kept the vehicle.  But after that call, Williams still did not return the vehicle and according to Wagner, he got back his vehicle until March fifth, 2014 when the police apprehended Williams and charged him with theft.
