Richard Harrison Optimistic of P.U.P. Victory

Richard Harrison

According to Harrison, notwithstanding the less than remarkable numbers, he is confident that his brief campaign efforts will secure a victory for the People’s United Party.

“Richard it is midday. What are you seeing? Half of the day has gone. What are you seeing in terms of figures?”

Richard Harrison, P.U.P. Cayo North Standard Bearer

“Well I don’t have official figures, but what it looks like is that the turnout is a little over twenty percent at this stage, which is reasonable given that we had bad weather in the morning to start with and usually the morning is slower than the afternoon. So we expect that the voter turnout will pickup right after lunch and we will work right through till six o’clock. I think our game plan is on and I think we are still calling a victory right now at this stage of the game.”

Mike Rudon

“You have some predictions in terms of a high turnout and in terms of a low voter turnout. Is that still holding true?”

Richard Harrison

“We are going to come in at the lower end. If we come it at about sixty, sixty-five percent, we will have a lower margin of victory but we will still win.”

Mike Rudon

“Judge your campaign machinery for me. Is everything going as was plan?”

Richard Harrison

“Well we are working. As I said, we are never perfect, but as we are going along during the day we are improving. And we will continue improving right up to six o’clock. But I see a lot of our voters here; a lot of people are coming through the gate. I’m greeting them and I am sure that we are getting those votes. They are taking their money and voting for us.”
