GSU Raid Conch Shell Bay, Weed and Ammo Found

Several operations were undertaken by the Gang Suppression Unit over the weekend. On Saturday, the GSU were on the ground in the Conch Shell Bay Area. In an open lot, they found a black plastic bag hidden under several pieces of lumber. It contained ten live rounds of ammunition. The ammo was confiscated by the police, but no arrests were made. According to the GSU, the ammunition is compatible with AR-fifteen and M-sixteen rifles.  The GSU is also reporting that on December twenty-eighth, 2014, they found at an empty lot on Tigris Street, ten transparent Ziploc bags and a black plastic bag, containing cannabis. The drugs amounted to a total of one thousand two hundred and fourteen grams. The drug was kept and labeled as Found Property.  Later that day, the GSU proceeded to George Street, Belize City and conducted a search, first on an abandoned lot. There, they found a single marijuana plant which was uprooted. Also on George Street, the unit searched an abandoned house a total weight of one thousand four hundred and fifty-nine grams of cannabis hidden in the ceiling of the house.  While no one was arrested, it is suspected the drugs belong to the George Street Gang.

When are the authorities going to stop chasing ganja busts and concentrate all their efforts on cocaine & speed so that the gangs will stop shooting each other over marijuana?
