Authorities Investigate Death of Infant

Frederick Gordon

There is a disturbing report tonight on the death of a three month infant. Police have ruled out foul play and are calling it a case of sudden death; the baby died of asphyxia due to suffocation. The infant and the mother both lived at a children’s home; she is a minor who got pregnant at the age of fifteen years so her name will not released. The mother turned sixteen in August less than a month before her baby was born on September tenth. According to reports, the young teenage mother was removed from her parents and placed in the home by Human Development Services when she became pregnant. While she lived there she breastfed the baby, but on Friday morning, the baby was found dead. Simultaneous investigations by the Police Department and the Department of Human Services are currently ongoing. The cause of death is of concern because of neglect of the child as well as the issue of the pregnancy of minors. Today, we spoke to Rural Executive Officer of the Police Department, Inspector Frederick Gordon.

Insp. Frederick Gordon, Rural Executive Officer, Police Department

“On Friday, the fifth of December, at sometime about six-twenty a.m., we received a report about a child having suffering problem from the children’s home and the child was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where we learned later that the child had died. In respect of the child that died, we have since launched an investigation into the matter and also a post mortem was done yesterday on the body of the child where the doctor classified that the child died from suffocation.”

Duane Moody

“Suffocation, but yet it is still considered a sudden death? Why so sir?”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“Well like I said, we are going by the doctor’s report because on the body we saw no signs of injury on the body at the time. At this time, we do not suspect foul play, but the police; we are looking into the matter.”

Duane Moody

“Now we understand from the report that the mother of the child is a sixteen year old who was also living at the children’s home. Is there anything to indicate that maybe there was neglect on the part of the mother or even the children’s [home]? What could have led to this child’s death?”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“Well I suspect that there was some kind of neglect because Human Services were involved and Human Services were the ones that took away the child with conditions for the mother to visit the child.”

Duane Moody

“And all we know, from what I understand that the mother was there earlier the morning to visit with the child and the child was dead.”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“Yes, the mother was the last person yes with the child. She was the last person, according to our preliminary investigation; she was the last one handling the child when the child was experiencing something with her breath.”

Duane Moody

“But definitely no suspected foul play? It isn’t being treated as murder or anything like that?”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“No we are not treating it as a murder, but we are still looking into the investigation at this time; getting statements from the person at the children’s home, the mother, interviewing everybody to make sure. Yes we know that the doctor has concluded his conclusion, but we are still looking into the matter.”

Because all of you, including Estradaban , are too dumb to ask the pertinent questions. Death by Asphyxation and Suffocation at the same time? Which occurred first and did one cause the other? I’ve said before that Estradaban’s main diagnoses are ” Death by Asphyxation and Blunt Force Trauma.” He has drunk too much Formaldehyde. I’ve commented previously that there is no way that there should be one pathologist, especially for that length of time. The life span of that career can be short, especially if that professional is the only one working, due to the gruesome nature of the sights at time and the details you have to know. Not that I want to see the young lady in trouble, but has anyone heard of Post Partum Depression? We saw it recently with the young lady who drowned her kids. Human Services is a mess from top to bottom. Not enough workers and they are overwhelmed, besides some I know who have some serious personal issues. The facility for around mile 21 is even worst; they share one shampoo, toiletries, no personal hygiene supplies for each female, assaults upon staff and other females in the facility. Some of the young men are out of hand. No adequate security. To tap it all off, the head at Regent street is too self-centered and dumb as well as don’t give a damn. She is as culpable as her boss in the Ministry. They never visit, never heed warnings . Back to estradaban, did he not deem it feasible to check for fibers in the nostrils, air passage or stomach of the child since he suspected suffocation? Does he even have the knowledge or the intuition to do so? My most favourite quote; “PetroCaribe Money Roll.” Only the ignorant, illiterate Cruffy Unu de fool.

This is sad and I am 90% sure this was not sudden death. I don’t want to put the mother in trouble because until you walk in someones shoes, you have no idea what their life is like. However, there are lots of families that are looking for babies to adopt. There needs to be help for these young mothers to find adoptive families. Some type of media coverage on this available baby would have brought people from all over the world that would have been willing to give this child a wonderful life. I guess none of the adults that knew this young woman cared enough to suggest that to her.

A child taking care of a child always ends in disaster, and this is what happen, the young mother fell asleep and roll over her baby.

When you read the actual statement given by this sad supposed police official you can understand why cases are not solved. I absolutely cannot believe that these people cannot make one substantial clear statement. These are the people that should know what questions to ask to get to the bottom of criminal issues. What is the education requirement for promotions are these people required to go back to school?
Simply ask the “who, what, how, where and when” questions and re-ask and re-ask, and then go back and say you said………, tell me about that again. What is so hard about interrogation.
This country is in a bad place and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
