Still No Suspects in Yhony Rosado Home Invasion

Yhony Rosado

The home of tour operator Yhony Rosado of cavetubing.com was taken by storm on Wednesday morning when a duo of armed men raided the property while he was out attending to business at the Fort Street Tourism Village.  During the aggravated burglary Rosado’s mother-in-law, who was babysitting his newborn, was held up before being bound and gagged by the intruders.  The men proceeded to steal an undisclosed sum of money, as well as a licensed firearm before making good their escape.  Despite filing an official report following the incident, police are yet to make an arrest.  In the wake of the home invasion Rosado, an outspoken member of FECTAB, says he strongly believes that there may be a contract on his life.

“Two things come to my mind; someone is paying for a hit on me or, because the stealing part doesn’t make sense for me as a businessman, as the owner, because everyday I ker one bus and a van with my workers.  I’ve been taking tours for fifteen years and in the high season we ker five, six buses [because] that’s when we cash in for Christmas.  Every businessman they know in Christmas the policeman is out there because Christmas is hot!  We are far from Christmas and I’m already being robbed.  For me it doesn’t make sense and I have questioned my mother-in-law about the part where they were waiting on me but because I live on the roadside they can’t wait on me all day because somebody will stop.  So it’s very risky business trying to murder someone next

to a highway. When I saw that my baby and my mother-in-law were safe I took off and do my job like everything else.  I took it like a man and I just went on about my business, finished my job.  Yesterday afternoon I came by and the CIB was here doing their investigations.  My mother-in-law gave a statement.  They told me to go to Raccoon Street to give a statement, I went there and I gave a statement.”

The familiarity of Rosado’s residence to the intruders suggests that they may be former employees or acquaintances of his.  That theory however, is yet to be confirmed.
