Police Investigate Sudden Death in Sandhill

Frederick Gordon

The Ladyville police were also called out to mile nineteen on the old northern highway this morning. There, on the right hand side of the road, a vehicle belonging to sixty-one year old Gilbert Dawson Senior was found and just outside the driver’s side, the body of Dawson was found face down on the ground. Scenes of Crime personnel immediately got into action, but detected no signs of violence. Dawson’s body was then transported to the morgue at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for an autopsy. While the postmortem will verify the cause of death, Inspector Gordon says that they have since been informed by relatives that Dawson suffered from a chronic illness.

Insp. Frederick Gordon, Rural Executive Officer

“This morning, we responded to a call in Sand Hill somewhere around about six this morning where we visited the area and found the body of a male person, Gilbert Dawson Senior and he was seen lying face down in the area. His body was removed by us and no signs of foul play we suspect at this time.”

“What’s the next process to verify the cause of death and so forth?”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“We will be doing a post mortem to establish the cause of his death at this time. We are preparing to do the post mortem on the body of the deceased.”

“Now apart from no signs of foul play, I do believe that you guys have information that he had a particular chronic disease?”

Insp. Frederick Gordon

“Yes, the information from his family was that he suffered from hypertension and our preliminary investigations reveal at this time that he was socializing with some friends in Sand Hill just before day this morning.”

Dawson was a resident of Gardenia Village. He leaves behind his wife and many children.
