Pedro Diaz

On Sunday morning, the life of a Guatemalan national was callously taken a stone’s throw from where he lived in the Duck Run Three Area of Spanish Lookout, Cayo District. Thirty-four year old Pedro Ariel Diaz was viciously chopped to the neck and his head almost severed in the village. Today, police say that a man with whom Diaz socialized at a bar in the nearby village of Los Tambos is believed to be his killer. The men were reportedly embroiled in an altercation prior to his murder. According to Deputy Officer Commanding San Ignacio Police, Inspector Reymundo Reyes, the murder weapon has been recovered.
