Outstanding Belizean Students Heading to United Kingdom

Three young Belizeans are heading to the United Kingdom having won the prestigious Chevening Scholarships. The three recipients are from the Cayo District and the City. Ebony Lyall from Cayo will be studying for a Masters of Science Degree in Forensic Science at the University of Strathclyde.  Brian Duncan from Belize City will be studying for a Masters of Law in International Corporate Governance, Financial Regulation and Economic Law at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.  Ashanti Guzman, also from Belize City will study for a masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice at City University, London.  The British High Commission says that the scholarships are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and aim to support UK foreign policy priorities by creating lasting positive relationships with future leaders, influencers and decision makers. Lyall, Duncan and Guzman will depart Belize later this month.
